Overview
As some may already be aware, SkyCiv Beam received a great deal of new features and upgrades which were automatically rolled out this month. Some of the features were recommended by users and some were developed by SkyCiv to improve the power and capability of this great structural analysis software!
Rotation Results
Based on user feedback, the rotation deflection results of the beam was information that was missing from the analysis software. Users can view key points of rotation (max, min) or input their evaluation points to determine the rotation at that specific point
3D Renderer
Shows a scaled 3D render of the beam, placing it in real life perspective. This is a great way to check your input has been entered correctly, but also allows users to include a real life image of their beams in their reports. To make the most of this feature, make sure you enter a beam section. If no section is added, the section is deemed as a rectangle by default.
Colored Analysis Results (Featured Image)
Arguably the best and most powerful feature is the results on our 3d Renderer. It allows users to view specific points and areas of interest - easily determined by the coloring. With blue as low (negative) and red as high (positive) users can easily spot key stress and loading concentratinos to ensure the safety of their beam. These colored results also extend to the section stress analysis. It shows key areas of the cross section that are induced to the most forces and stresses.
