Roof Frame

Sample Model 3D Roof Frame

Roof Frame

Overview

The purpose of this test case is to validate some of the analysis results of a 3D frame, specifically:

  • Deflection
  • Forces/Moments
  • Linear Analysis

The Structural 3D results were compared against a third party analysis software.

Evaluation points: 3
Solve Type: Linear Analysis

Model Setup

The structure is a 29-node, 28-member tower, that are predominantly fixed connections, supported by a series of pinned supports. The tower consists of 6.35mm x 6.35mm section for the main supporting elements, and a 1.5875mm x 1.5875mm section for the web members. Each section is composed of two different custom material.
